The Centre for Public Engagement Practice in Arts and Humanities is led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with UK Research and Innovation.  

The Centre supports the practice of public engagement through networks, platforms, partnerships, professional development, and innovation – rooted in arts, humanities and social science, and growing across all fields of research. 

The Collaboration and Innovation Grant brings together researchers, public engagement professionals, and cultural and community partners to co-develop and deliver experimental, interdisciplinary public engagement activity. 

The grant aims to: 

  • Strengthen the infrastructure of collaborative public engagement work by working together in new ways, crossing institutional, sectoral and other barriers   

  • Support experimental and innovative engagement approaches that push current practice forward 

  • Engage a wide range of non-academic audiences in arts, humanities or social sciences research and break down barriers to participation.
